A First Aid course is an integral part of the tour guides’ training.
The tour guide is responsible for the safety of the group and therefore, is trained accordingly.
While nature is beautiful, it can be quite dangerous, such as animal-related injuries, allergic responses, climate damages, injuries, fractures, etc. It’s also important to remember that the groups change. Different populations partake in these groups, people of various ages, institutions, etc. Therefore, the guides should have the tools to provide the initial medical response until a certified medical team arrives. In the 44-hour First Aid Course for Tour Guides, trainees will learn about various emergencies.
They’ll learn how to treat them, while emphasizing those relevant for the field. Trainees who met the course requirements will be awarded a First Aid Certificate at the end of the course.
